Stay Focused
I’m going to keep this newsletter brief today. It dawned on me (no pun intended), that I’m doing way too many things all at once. If I can find a level of focus I achieve more in a timely manner. I know. It’s amazing what focus does to the mind.
We live in a ADHD culture where we can only focus on something for only 3.3 seconds then we move to the next thing. We need to go back to the basics to find the routines that enable us to become better at focus, such as reading, meditating and doing one task at a time over and over before switching to the next task.
Intention has been a huge part of my processes. I had a good friend ask me yesterday when we were in the middle of a lake paddle boarding, “What are you focused on the most right now?” I bluntly told her on you at this present moment, right here, right now! I think she blushed a little but my point still stays the same.
Whatever you are doing, do it in the moment and be present, because the present is all you have!
Which reminds me, this picture below is my current present. I’m about to shoot another podcast episode with my friend and mentor, Mina Satori, which if you are not following her please do.
